Career

I have translated complex IT-sector texts — from user interfaces to cybersecurity and digital marketing content — for nearly 25 years. In 2011, I began working freelance to help companies get their message across in perfect German. Since then, I have worked on more than 5,000 projects comprising over 5 million words.

• Since 2011: Freelance English-to-German translator
• 2001–2011: Translator and project coordinator for IT content at a translation agency in Cologne
• 2001: Degree in translation (languages: German and French; specialist area: technology) from Cologne University of Applied Sciences

Continuous professional development

I consider CPD to be very important. In recent years I have taken part in a wide range of training courses (the list is currently being updated).
