About me
Career
I have translated complex IT-sector texts — from software interfaces to cybersecurity and digital marketing content — for over 20 years. In 2011, I began working freelance to help companies get their message across in perfect German.
- Since 2011: Freelance English-to-German translator
- 2001–2011: Translator and project coordinator for IT content at a translation agency in Cologne.
- 2001: Degree in Translation (Languages: German and French; Specialist area: Technology) from Cologne University of Applied Sciences

Member of the German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ)
Head of the BDÜ’s regional group for Jena/Erfurt since 2024
Continuous professional development
I consider CPD to be very important. In recent years I have taken part in a wide range of training courses (the list is currently being updated).
